 Stefan Milenkovich will be performing on the 1735 Guarneri del Gesu’ “Sennhauser” for December 2011 concerts that include “La Campanella” Italian tour with the Belgrade Philharmonic and Charles Olivieri-Munroe, conductor, as well as performances with St. George Strings in Belgrade and Novi Sad, Serbia. This magnificent instrument was provided thanks to the generosity of Mrs. Mary Galvin and Mr. Geoffrey Fushi from the Stradivari Society, division of Bein and Fushi.

 Mr. Milenkovich had the opportunity to play the wonderful 17th century Amati violin that belonged to legendary Giuseppe Tartini. Many thanks to the city of Piran for making this possible, as well as their gracious hospitality.

Giuseppe Tartini (8 April 1692 – 26 February 1770) was born in Piran (then in the Republic of Venice). Among Tartini's numerous contributions to modern violin playing, he's also composer of the famous "Devil's Trill" violin sonata. It is said that Tartini was inspired by a dream in which he heard the most incredible violin playing by the devil himself.

"On April 16th, 2011, violinist Stefan Milenkovich gave a WorldPremiere of Rudolf Haken's Violin Concerto dedicated to Mr. Milenkovich within music festival "NOMUS" in Novi Sad, Serbia, together with Camerata Academica string orchestra. Two days later the performance was repeated to another exhilarating audience response in Kolarac Hall in Belgrade, Serbia."

 

"Rudolf Haken's "Concerto for Violin, String Orchestra and Drum Set" is a work inspired by Stefan's spectacular virtuosity as well as friendship developed over the past five years teaching at the University of Illinois - composer Rudolf Haken says. The work received such an energetic and enthusiastic response from the audience  that Mr. Milenkovich repeated the most virtuosic part of the concerto, final movement "Passacaglia with variations" with rock and jazz elements, after which the applause and excited screams from the audience looked like ending of a rock concert."                                                                                                                                

 

 Stefan Milenkovich has been voted ''Brand Personality Serbia'' for 2010 by a committee of marketing agencies in Belgrade, Serbia!

In voting of “Puls” magazine readers, the highest circulation weekly magazine in Serbia, Stefan Milenkovich and Vlatko Stefanovski’s three performances in December at Sava Center, Belgrade, were named as “Concert of the Year” of 2010!

 The Macedonian guitarist and Serbian violinist won the “Oscar of popularity”, prize awarded by the “Puls” magazine, and at the same time, the most important award in Serbia when it comes to show business. The award was in Mr. Stefanovski and Mr. Milenkovich’s names, received by Vlatko Stefanovski at gala ceremony held at Great Hall of Sava Center, on February the 1st, 2011.

 The Stefanovski and Milenkovich's December concerts were held in the production of the Belgrade Cultural Network, based on the idea of Dejan Vukov.
